I've been a photographer for most of my life, but the moment I realized I had a "photographer's eye" was on a camping trip to Wellesley Island in the Thousand Islands with my parents when I was just 11. I played around with photography here and there until high school, where we dabbled in it during our physics class. In that class, there was a strikingly beautiful girl who became my photographic muse. We used to joke about it back then, and now her daughter is a successful professional photographer.

After high school, I joined the Navy, and shortly after completing boot camp, I bought my first 35mm camera. From that point on, I've been an avid photographer. My work has been published and exhibited worldwide, and though I've made some money from it, it's never been my primary source of income.

Now that I'm retired, I finally have the time to fully devote myself to photography. I capture images of things most people may never see, moments that bring back cherished memories for others.

Someone once asked me why I take the pictures I do, and while my initial response was a simple "I just love taking pictures," there's so much more to it. I find beauty in the simplest things, perhaps because I've witnessed the world's terrible ugliness up close. The images I capture represent timeless beauty and serve as a historical record. Discovering an old photo of where you live from a century ago and noting the changes is a special experience. Imagine having a photograph on your wall that prompts your grandchildren to ask, "Grandma, do you remember that?" and you can share a story from your youth. That's why I take, display, and sell these pictures.
