Another photographers quirk of mine that will probably put me in harms way one day when I get to an age where my senses start to fade. I love to get in the middle of a street or railroad tracks and do the leading lines thing. Especially in places like New York City. The concrete canyons are there just begging for a great shot. You have to be careful though! I took this shot one night walking across 16th street. There was a retirement party for one of the guys I worked with at Con Ed. The guy was a really good guy and the party was a lot of fun. So I was told! I went to the party but I had to work day shift the next day so I left early before the party really got rolling. I lived 80 miles from the city and had taken the train in that day. I was feeling kinda short changed because I just had a feeling the night was gonna turn into one of those epic nights that you just want to be part of and I had to leave! So anyway, I was walking back towards the subway station at Union Square in kind of a roundabout manor. I had my camera with me because I always did photos for the guys at the retirement parties and such things. As I walked across 1st Ave That quirk of mine kicked in, HARD! The traffic light was right! It was safe! The view down the Avenue was incredible! The lighting was awesome! I took this shot then zig zagged my way over to Union Square and got on the 4 to Grand Central and the train home. I got into work the next day and all everybody was talking about was the party. It had definitely turned into one of those epic nights and I only caught the beginning but I got a great shot and great shots for the retiree! . Production and Shipping Time:
